Calysta and Thai Union offer world first taste of commercial shrimp fed FeedKind protein

Thai Union joined forces with alternative protein manufacturer Calysta to offer attendees at the Brussels Global Seafood Expo the first taste of commercially farmed shrimp fed with FeedKind protein.

FeedKind is a single cell protein produced by fermenting natural gas. It contains a unique carbon signature that allows it to be traced throughout the supply chain all the way to the consumer. Calysta’s patented production process uses no agricultural land and very little water. Completely additive to the food chain, it helps meet the world’s growing demand for food without placing extra stress on our planet’s resources.
